Cutting Stockframe
Obtain a piece of 50mm planed hardwood, with a rebate removed as indicated. Fix this to your mitre saw with screws. Then make a 45° left and right cut through the timber. This will provide a perfect support for cutting Stockframe. Stockframe can be cut using either a chop saw fitted with a PVC blade or a handheld mitre saw fitted with a fine tooth blade. When cutting Stockframe, an allowance of +3mm will be needed to allow for the overlap of the frame on the corners.

A note about resolution............
People get confused between resolution and printer settings. This is a common mistake.
Signmakers print at 720 x 720 on their printer settings, which is an industry standard. THAT ISN'T DPI, although most people think it is. That is LPI. There is a huge difference.
DPI is the resolution of the print image.
LPI is the lines per inch the printer is laying down. You can take a crisp 72dpi image and output it at 720 x 720 LPI on your printer and get great results.
If you take a fuzzy, low rez 72dpi image and output it at 720 X 720 LPI, it will be a very nicely printed fuzzy image on output.
The LPI doesn't care what the resoluion of the image you are printing is, they are independent of one another.
Another easy way to explain resolution is digital cameras. Every digital camera takes jpeg pics at 72dpi. If you are in focus when you take the pic, then download it to your PC or mac and output that print on a basic desktop paper printer (without changing the scale of the pic) it will print perfectly.
These big printers we use for vinyl are no different, they are just bigger and print on vinyl. The concept, resloution and results are all the same.
Happy printing.........
